Eimer and Veerle have long and extensive backgrounds in the film and costume industry

Eimer is one of Ireland’s most established costume designers, having worked with directors from Martin Mc Donagh, Neil Jordan, Jim Sheridan, Ken Loach and Reed Morano to actors such as Colin Farrell, Emma Thompson, Amy Adams, Brendan Gleeson, Mel Gibson and Jude Law.
Veerle is a highly accomplished costume practitioner and has worked on projects such as The Tudors, Disenchanted and Riverdance. Veerle also managed and curated Joan Bergin’s costume collection in The Costume Mill, Dublin, where she also ran an in-house costume rental business. Veerle currently works both in various film costume departments and runs ICAP with Eimer.

Veerle and Eimer have come together to oversee the growth of ICAP

The Irish Costume Archive Project was initiated to collect, preserve and exhibit Ireland’s film and television design heritage and promote the collections by highlighting their importance as part of our national film culture. Currently the collections consist of costumes from iconic Irish film dating back to the late 1980s. Our aim is to create a digital archive that will be fully accessible through this website.
We also mount exhibitions all over Ireland and collaborate internationally with museums, stately homes, film festivals  and even libraries! Feel free to contact us if you would like to team up with ICAP or to make an appointment to view the physical collection.
